Weddings & Events

weddingsWhen asked how they have managed to stay among the Northeast’s upper eschelon of show bands for so long, the members of KICK often cite their ability to grow and adapt. As trends came and went over the past couple decades – ska, swing dancing, the Latin movement, grunge, etc. – KICK absorbed the ever-changing styles, sounds, and songs of popular music to build a repertoire of literally hundreds of unusually diverse songs. With over a century of combined professional live perormance experience, the band has proven uniquely capable of performing entire sets of acoustic music (or country or ’80s metal among others, for that matter). This stylistic range and boundless onstage enthusiasm has made them an increasingly popular act at black tie affairs, weddings, corporate events, college and private parties, and fundraisers.

Weddings/corporate events/parties: Formal or not, KICK knows how to throw a party. In addition to performing special requests for the ceremony, hosting, and conducting announcements upon request, the band can perform special acoustic cocktail sets as a duo, trio, or quartet. The band can also provide comprehensive entertainment packages that include DJ services and professional sound and lighting, and can even bundle such services as catering, limousine service, and photography.

The band is perhaps most pleased to have achieved a level of popularity that affords it the opportunity to give back to their communities and to organizations they support. The band has performed at events for the Special Olympics, Relay for Life, Dream Ride, American Cancer Society, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the Newtown Victims’ Fund, Make a Wish Foundation, and the Brian A. Aselton Memorial Fund, among several others.

Colleges:  KICK is a proud member of the National Association for Campus Activities, and has performed at events for such fine institutions as Providence College, University of Hartford, University of Connecticut, Fairfield University, Sacred Heart University, Trinity College, and Eastern Connecticut State University.
